About The Ayora Valley

THE AYORA VALLEY is a beautiful green valley with mountains, nature parks and wild life and where the rivers "Jucar " and "Cabriel " come together.

The six villages of the valley have their own unique character and individual summer fiestas.

Without exception when driving into Ayora valley for the first time people comment on how green it is and how the atmosphere is so peaceful and welcoming.

The valley is famous for its honey which is exported to many countries and in October people from all over Spain come to Ayora to enjoy the 4 day Honey festival.

There are many activities you can take part in including exploring the valley and beautiful mountains on foot. bicycle, car or by horse. There is fishing, hiking, canoeing and famous historic sites to visit such as the Castellar de Meca in the Sierra de Mugron and the wonderful Cuevas de Don Juan.

Good access roads through the valley, General hospital in Almansa, 24 hour clinic in Ayora and every village has a primary school plus a large secondary school in Ayora. Supermarket open from 9.00 till 21.15, there are active Casa de Culturas in all the village, public transport, etc.

We are only 1 hour inland from both Alicante and Valencia and last , but not least , the valley has all the services that one would need for permanent modern living.
